    im an idiot help me open a rar file.


    Last year i added some files to a rar archive and made a password, right now i wanted to open it and i just realised that i forgot the password, normally i use the same password everytime but this time i didn't. how do i get access to my files?

    Corrupted file RAR

    If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
    I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    RAR help

    Hi, I am new to the boards and was wondering if you could help me out with this. I have a .rar file that I downloaded and inside of it is 12 individual rar files in this one big one. I can extract all the rar files into a folder but if I open one of the files and try to extract the program within it to make it one program it says that I cannot do it without the other parts but I can only extract the .rar files, I cannot extract the inner files to make one big file, any help???

    rar files opens directly without save

    Hello friends,
    I've one query..
    by mistake i selected option "open this type of file directly" while downloading one rar file from my browser.

    After than if i click on any rar file link or attachment in forum, regardless of size it opens directly without asking to save to any path option..

    how to revert this change?
