Windows 10: I'm asked for parental permission before accessing firefox and im not even in a microsoft...

Hi everyone,


I have literally no idea how its happened because my Microsoft account has been lying dormant for years but it has suddenly blocked nearly everything on my laptop saying I need to 'ask parental permission' im 18. After hearing that sometimes you need to be 20+ to not be asked for parental permission, I changed my DOB to 1988, this has had zero effect. I then left the Microsoft family I was in my elder sister and I and got an email and notification confirming that I had left, this too had zero effect. I even tried to rejoin the family and leave again which has done nothing either. Im really stuck and have a uni essay due in soon and I can't keep using my phone to google things so PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I've rebooted my laptop a hundred times, left the family, changed my date of birth and even tried to delete my account. What do I do????!!!!

Minecraft asking permission for parental access after giving always allow access

As you have mentioned that Minecraft keeps asking for permission even after providing always allow access. Let’s try some steps to fix the issue.



Method 1:



Change the age rating for the allowed apps. As Minecraft game is allowed for 10+ aged users.

1. Open
   https://account.microsoft.com/family/ on the browser.
   
2. Now click on Already set up? Sign in now> option.
   
3. Login with the parent account.
   
4. Now under the child account click on
   Content restrictions.
   
5. Under allow apps and games rated for change the drop down option to a higher age.
   

Method 2:



Remove the app from always allowed list and add again. Refer the article

Block inappropriate apps, games, and media on Windows 10 and Xbox One.

Google Chrome asking for adult permissions to access

Hi,



Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I understand that you receive error while asking permission from adult for accessing Google Chrome. I would like to know the exact error message/code you receive.



However, since you have mentioned that you are using a child account, the work around would be to converting the child account to a local user account and try using Chrome. Kindly follow the steps to convert the child account to local account.

1. Go to Settings > Account >
   Your info.
   
2. Now click on Sign in to a
   local account instead.
   
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Child account keeps asking for parent permission

We are not able to access to my sons Microsoft account.

Every time we do, it asks for parental permission. I go through the steps, I give all the permission, then it does it again, and again, and eventually, it will just give below error.

If I try again, the same thing happens.

I have tried this on multiple computers and multiple browsers, same issue.

Removing him from my family doesn't help.

There seems to be some inherent problem with Microsoft child accounts, as I have created 10+ different accounts for him, and end up having the same issue every time.

Microsoft support are no help at all, we just go round and round in circles repeating the same steps indefinitely, while they refuse to read previous replies or accept that we have already done it 20 times before. Thus why I have had 10+ different accounts.

does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
