Windows 10: I’m locked out of my laptop. Please help.

My laptop ran out of charge. When I started it again it no longer had face recognition and stated my PIN was no longer available due to a charge in security settings.I had to create a Microsoft account to continue and set up a new pin. I followed instructions on screen, added the code sent to my email, proved I wasn’t a robot and then had a notice that it had run into an issue. Back to the first screen saying I needed to set up a new PIN. Can anyone help?Thanks in advance.

Really, you should be getting a list of laptops you like the look of, narrowing it down and then asking on here which is best.

Asking people for suggestions really doesn't work well as most people only have experience with 1-2 laptops at a time.

Searching all the shopping sites and creating a list for you is a lot of work.
