Windows 10: I'm new to using my Cortana Invoke. How can I play more of a variety of music

I asked Cortana to play Music from John Prine, Linda Rohndstat, and early Taylor Swift. She couldn't. What do I need to do to broaden her music library

Thank you for posting your concern on Microsoft Community Forums.

Try to uninstalling and reinstalling the Cortana Device Setup app and check if you're able to complete the setup. Invoke Works with select music services, paid subscriptions may be required. I suggest you to try reset Invoke, follow
the below steps, and check if that helps.

1. Attach Power Cable
   
2. Press and Hold the Mic Mute Button until Cortana Says, “Ready for setup.”
   

Note: the Invoke will not function until properly set up and linked to a Microsoft account.

Music on Cortana/ Invoke

I want to link my Spotify premium account to Cortana to play music on my invoke.

It fails on the set up app and there is no music option in the notebook - any ideas on how to solve this?

Playing Music using Cortana and Invoke Fails - Says Invoke is Offline

When I use the Cortana App on my iPhone or Desktop, and select my Invoke device, and then select the music tab, the app says "Your Invoke is offline, To play music your device must be powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.

Well, it is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi just fine. The Invoke works just fine for any verbal request, so clearly connected to Wi-Fi and the internet, and is most certainly powered on. The Cortana Apps recognize the invoke and know it is there. I
have re-run the Invoke setup multiple times. I have verified my phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi access point. My desktop is hardwired, but into the same router.

Can anyone advise on how to make this think work?
