Discus and support I'm stuck in the Recovery tool with stopcode Bad System Config Info, Ive tried everything... in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I just want to get back on my computer, I dont care if I have to wipe it.     I'm stuck in the Recovery tool with stopcode Bad System Config Info, Ive tried everything...


    I just want to get back on my computer, I dont care if I have to wipe it. But for some reason, the system reset button in the recovery tool just says that it had a problem and couldnt make changes. Ive been working to resolve this error for days. Ive tried renaming the system files to .old and replacing them and booting from a portable drive, still nothing has worked, please help.

    Hi John,

    Thanks so much for your suggestion. Sadly, the fixes did not work, and I'm still getting "bad system config info."

    MS support is still not honoring phone calls reserved in advance/promises to call back in a few minutes-- must say I'm disappointed.

    Any further ideas?

    After i upgrade to W10, on a Toshiba Sattellite, L845 SP202, i5 4 gb RAM, i had no sound...

    Then, when i restarted, it shows a blue screen with the Bad system config info...

    I tried every step the system adviced, but nothing seems to work...

    Not even go back to W7
