I’m trying to sign into email on computer, after asking for pin it wants to send verification cause but it’s trying to send verification code to the email I’m trying to sign into, not my recovery email. As well there have been excessive unsuccessful attempts under recent activity from all over the world, I have tried changing my password, adding extra security options etc, and still nothing. Can’t get the verification code needed

Verification Code Email Will Not Send to Gmail

My Computer recently updated and wants me to reset my pin. I connect myself to the internet, and go through the steps to set it up. I enter the correct password to my account and then it says that it needs to verify with my secondary email. I enter my email correctly (I checked it multiple times), and then it says that it sent the code to my email and to enter the code I received. The problem is, I never receive the email. My secondary email is a gmail, so it is not a microsoft one. I have gone through this process multiple times and I have not received a code at all. I thought that if I signed in on another device that I could get the code to go through, no such luck. I even signed into my gmail account on a different device, and it is not there either. I have cleared my cache, and cookies on my browser. I have checked my spam folder and my promotions folder, no verification code email. In an attempt to go in a roundabout way to fix the issue, I was able to log on with a different device to my microsoft account and added my phone number as an option to send verification codes to. Now it says that this will not process until a month later, and when I try to go through the process to reset my pin on my computer, I enter the password for the account, then it says that my security info change is till pending and won't let me do anything else. I can not cancel the request because it requires a verification code from the gmail account that it won't send an email to. I can't figure out any more that I can do to get my code and why the email is not being sent to my gmail. I have been able to recieve codes before when I was first setting up my computer, so I don't understand why it is doing this now. If I could maybe get a one time verification code to log in, that would be great.

 

Verify identity asks me to confirm backup email instead of sending verification code

My Microsoft account wants me to verify my identity by sending a verification code to my backup email.

Fine. Send the code, I'll access the backup email and get the code

But no, instead it asks me to enter my backup email. Why? This is phishing for information.

Microsoft already knows my backup email. I know it. Why won't it just email the verification code?

 

I am trying to create a Microsoft account for this computer, a different account than this one, and it will not send the verification code to the email provided

I am trying to create a Microsoft account for ********* in order to sign into all of their Microsoft software on one of 44 computers that they purchased for each of their convenience stores. I cannot, due to company policy, use any other way to create a Microsoft account other than the email specifically made for registration of the Microsoft account. Everything is entered correctly in the email. It goes through the process of verifying I am a human, but the code is never sent to the specified email. I am setting up 44 computers each with their own Microsoft account and this is the only one that is not sending me a verification code. I have checked my junk mail and my regular mail and there is no email with the verification code. I tried logging in with a different computer and still nothing. I tried to create it on Microsoft's website and it still will not send the code. I can send emails to this account with no problems, but the Microsoft verification code is never sent. I tried a different email address on this computer and it worked properly but I cannot use that email to create this account. Something is holding up the verification code email in Microsoft's system. The email address that I am trying to register an account for is *********. Please help.
