Windows 10: imap

2 days ago I had to clear coockies. After I can not log in to my gmail account via windows live mail. I still can vie chrome. Ot shows in wlmYour IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system. Configuration: Account: Gmail jacb1717 Server: imap.gmail.com User name: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** Protocol: IMAP Port: 993 SecureSSL: 1 Code: 800ccc0fAnyone can pls help me?

Google Adds IMAP Support to GMail

GMail has gained IMAP support, one of the most requested features for Google's web-based e-mail service. If you log into your GMail account and head to "settings", the tab for "Forwarding and POP" should now read "Forwarding and POP/IMAP." If it doesn’t, be patient, Google will be rolling out the new IMAP features across the service over the next few days. With IMAP you can access your mail via your desktop client, read mail, make changes and have those changes mirrored by any other client accessing the account. If you access your mail from multiple machines, IMAP allows them all to stay in sync. To enable IMAP in GMail just head to the settings page and change your access from POP to IMAP.

IMAP problems with WM6

Hi,

Very keen analysis of the problem. However it is interesting that you are only now noticing the problem since there were also 2 parallel connections in WM5.

I was also affected by this issue with my personal mail server, but unfortunately I found that there is no client-side workaround for this.

Looking forward, we have been aware of this issue for some time and this is near the top of our list of potential IMAP improvements in our client.

For now, I would suggest to use POP3 instead or use a 3rd party IMAP client such as FlexMail. Or install a more modern IMAP server.
