    Importing email from old client into Mail or Outlook


    I'll try to be brief, so please bear with me. On my old laptop w/Windows 7, my email was all in Windows Live Mail. I recently purchased a new laptop w/Windows 10. I went to the Mail program program with Win 10, and there was no option to import from Windows Live Mail. So I started Windows Outlook for Office 2010. It does contain the emails that I've received and received I did over my phone through Xfinity. However, it does't include older emails, some 1840 of them. Some are very important, others not so much.

    How to import old mail in Windows10 mail.

    To assist you better please provide us more information.


    • How are you accessing emails through web browser or through a mail client (mail app, outlook 2010/2013)?

    • Did you configured email account with mail app?
    If you are using mail app, you can try the below steps to import the emails.


    • Open mail app and click on gear option/settings.

    • Click on manage accounts and click on the account you want to import the emails.

    • Click on "manage sync settings" and select your choice time period the import the emails.

    Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

    When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

    Importing old emails to Windows 10 Mail

    I do not believe you can import WLM into Outlook, but you can input WLM contacts, in a csv file, into Outlook..
