Windows 10: Importing photos from SD card into Pictures folder on Windows 10

This is Day Three of my attempting to import photos from my SD card into a folder in Pictures on Windows 10. I hit a roadblock every single time. The last one I tried was from a British advisor's video. Things went well until he said, after I had selected the pictures I wanted, "then click Continue". There is no "click Continue". Instead the whole process repeats itself. The "star" at the bottom left he mentions is not there; nor is there any "Trusted Windows Store APP” and so on. I so so miss my Wndows 7 - the bloody thing worked!



P.S. I tried 48 sites - all dead ends or misleading or, like the one I described above, don't work. I have a nasty red deteriorating/infected vein in my right leg. I've been tracking its journey from my ankle to my hip over six months on my camera two photos per month to show my vascular surgeon next week. It'll be my first visit to him. The leg is painful and swollen and this 72 year old just wants to prove to my surgeon what I've experienced. I need those photos - nothing else, just those.



Can someone help me, please?

Importing Pictures from SD card


I can't get the Photos app to import pictures from my SD card reader. For a while I had Live Photo Viewer as the default import action (can't remember how), but I'd quite like to get it working with a default app. I note that when I right click on my SD drive, I don't get the option to Import photos and videos

Any suggestions?

 

Import photos from SD Card in Photo Gallery using Autoplay

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Type Autoplay Settings in the Search box and press Enter.
• Under Choose Autoplay defaults, select the option required from the drop down list for
  Removable drive and Memory card and close the Window.
• Restart the system and check for status.

I suggest you to try importing the photos using photo app as below and check if it helps.

• In the search box type photo.
• Click on the photo app.
• On the right hand top corner click on import option.
• Before that you need to plug in SD card where you have saved the photos.

Photos in Window 10 not importing all photos in Pictures folders incl sub- folders

Hello Andy, my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor.

I would suggest you:

-Right click on the picture that you want to copy to the system picture file\folder.

-Select copy and go the system picture folder and right click on the picture and select

-paste.

If that doesn't work for you then you could also try to import the files by using File Explorer:

-Connect the SD card into the computer.

-Launch File Explorer.

-Click on This PC.

-Locate your SD card under Devices and drives.

-Double-click on the SD card.

-Manually choose which photos to move into your local folders. Right-click on each photo and choose

-Copy (Ctrl + C) then go to the destination folder then right-click on an empty space in the window and select

Paste (Ctrl + V).

-If you are importing all the photos, you can press Ctrl + A on the keyboard to select all of the files. Copy then Paste them into the destination folder.

-If you are importing selective photos, hold the Ctrl key while clicking on the photos you want to copy. This will let you choose a number of photos instead of selecting all of them like what Step 7 suggests.
