Windows 10: Impossible downgrade to Win 8.1 from Windows 10

I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 7537 bought in 2016. This year I've installed Windows 10 but the computer is slow even after the installation of SSD drive, I can't find actual driver for the graphic card, etc.

I've tried to come back to Win 8.1 by restoring the factory configuration like I used to do before the installation of Win 10 but now it is not possible anymore.

As long as I know the clear Win 8.1 installation with factory setting is on a separate partition. This partition is still there but the restoring doesn't start. There was also a Dell built-in Backup and Recovery Tool allowing the factory reset that now with Win 10 is not more available, probably was deleted by Win 10 installation.


How can I downgrade to Win 8.1 in this case?



The computer is still uptodate, it has 16GB of RAM, new SSD drive so there is non use to buy another one only because Win 10 makes it slow and drivers are impossible to find.

I want to downgrade my win from 10 to 8, but I don´t have this option in settings(recovery). Which other way can I downgrade my windows? Thanku for answers.

I would try these:

• Get your Windows 7 media device and reinstall Windows
• Try auto-repair
• Follow these steps:

1. Put in your Windows 10 media device, boot into the USB
2. Select your language and keyboard input, then click next.
3. Click "Repair this computer"
4. Go to "Advanced options"
5. click system restore
6. Select a restore point before you downgraded to Windows 7.
