Windows 10: In FS2020, mixture control on C172 kills engine in flight

Hi -

Using the latest updates in MS Flight Simulator, I noticed that while flying a Cessna 172, this plane has a fuel mixture issue after takeoff. In real flight, a pilot needs to lean the fuel mixture in order to gain engine performance at different altitudes in flight. In FS2020, leaning the fuel mixture kills the engine and the FS pilot is looking at restarting the flight as recourse.


Also noted while in flight, if you pause using ESC key, then resume flight, the fuel mixture does work as the plane’s performance and engine sound instantly changes.


Any work around for this issue? I haven’t tried other planes in FS2020 to see if fuel mixture is an issue while in flight.


Density altitude in FS2020 also has issues as taking off from higher elevation airports does not seem to affect the FS plane’s performance.

Keyboard keys not working in Flight Sim 2020

Hi.

After flying with FS2020 for some days. Suddenly, under mid-flight, all the keybords controlls stopped working on the plane. Throttle, flaps and steering control stopped working. And the plane crashed.

Tried a new flight. The plane just started with full throttle on the run-way. Not able to reduce the throttle, or the flaps. Not able to steer the plane in any directions.

This goes for all flights made from "World Map". If I try one of the challanges, the keyboard and plane is working perfectly. But when I go back to the custom flight the plane just live it life on it ownes.

I re-installed Windows on a newly bought disk, and then installed FS2020 on the same disk. Just to be sure that nothing was hiding in hidden files or registry. Same problem with the custom made flight.

I also registered that all my previous settings was still in FS2020. The latest airports I have used was on my list. Now I am suspecting FS to store this information on the Microsoft account / gaming account`? Since I have sorted out that this is not hardware
related (keyboard or PC). Since the controlls of the plane are working in when flying challanges.

Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

FS2020 updates

Tried your suggestions, Greg. No change. Troubleshooter doesn't find a problem. Nothing to update in the hub - says the FS2020 update was 8/13 (which seems odd) but the simulator didn't show up under apps like all the others that come with Windows 10.

FS2020 only shows up under All Owned in the Store App where the only option is to launch it.

Could this be a left-over from the original install??
