  1. In the auto repair loop, can't get into safe mood

My Lenovo laptop was fine this afternoon, but after an error of MS office popped up, I decided to restart to see if it could solve the problem. However, it was then trapped in the automatic repair loop. I tried many methods, such as 1) chkdsk /f /r C: (it said found no problems) 2) hard reboot (not working) 3) disable auto repair (got an error page saying it can't boot) 4) restore from a backup point (it said failed to restore)...basically every option of repair.

Now I just want to rescue my files but I can't even get to the safe mode. I managed to get into the Startup Setting, but when I pressed 4 or F4 (or other numbers), it went back to the auto repair loop.

Can anyone please help? At least please help me to get to the safe mode. Thanks a lot.

  2. Stuck in auto repair loop

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

If the screen is stuck for a long time on auto repair, I suggest you to restart the computer using power button and check. If the issue still persist, I suggest you to check if you are able to boot the computer into Safe Mode environment and check.

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps:

    • Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    • Select an option to “Safe mode with networking” using the arrow keys on the keyboard when the Windows Advanced Options menu
      appears, and then press ENTER.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if your issue is resolved. For any further query, feel free to contact us.

    Thank you.

In the auto repair loop, can't get into safe mood

    Windows 10 Auto Repair Loop

    Help:

My PC started into an "Auto Repair loop" where I can't get it to stop or allow me to even get to a position for safe mode. I upgraded to Window 10 making the ISO Disk suggested and recorded my product key for potential future use. When I boot from the disk,
the product key doesn't work... an error code saying it's not the correct code. Being computer illiterate, how do I fix the problem, or get the system to boot to actually do repairs. It was working great then boom, it rebooted itself and now for the past
48 hours I've been trying to read what the community says to do but can't seem to get it to repair itself enough to even reload Windows 10.

PS: Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated. I in a rural area and computer tech's are not available.
