How do I put a shortcut to a webpage on my desktop. the web address in in my bookmarks. When I try to highlight the web address and drag it to the desktop. The message is access denied

• Are you facing issue creating shortcut for a specific webpage or for all the webpages?
• If specific, which is the webpage you are facing issues saving on desktop?
• Did you check if creating system files/folder shows on the desktop?

Creating shortcuts of the webpages or files & folders on the desktop will help the user in easy accessibility of the data when required. Sometimes the shortcuts created will not be displayed if any system files & folders are missing or corrupted. The
issue might also occur if any of the third party software installed on the PC is preventing the action.



Run System Maintenance troubleshooter by following the steps below and check for the status of the computer behavior. System freezes and other irregular behaviors are mostly caused due to the unwanted/unused files retained in the PC.

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
• Select View all from the left side panel of the window.

Someone pls suggest an app with which i can save a webpage for offline viewing

I was able to do all these things that you explained with W7 and prior versions but not with windows 10. Only option I get when I right click on a webpage is "select all" and "print". Sure I can right click on the desktop and paste a url but that's not what
I want.

Is there other way to do this?
