Windows 10: Inaccessible Boot Device

Discus and support Inaccessible Boot Device in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Upon boot, PC gives 'inaccessible boot device' error, and then tries to repair.     Inaccessible Boot Device


    Upon boot, PC gives 'inaccessible boot device' error, and then tries to repair. Doesn't work, and goes to Continue/Troubleshoot/Turn off you PC screen.


    I've tried a few things:

    Rebuilding the BCD didn't solve the problem
    chkdsk didn't solve the problem. Did it on all mounted disks C, D, E
    Did a system restore to an early restore point. Didn't help either.


    I'm trying to figure out what to try next.


    I was briefly connected to a different tech support person. Recommend reinstalling windows. I'm trying but my drive is showing up as 'Drive 0' and will not allow installation.

    It is an intermediate level link.
    There are more advanced steps that can be ran once the partition structure is known.
    There are steps for repair of the boot sector, operating system, etc.
    Sometimes this bugcheck can be caused by windows updates.

    A reset save files equivalent may be able to be performed.
    Alternatively a clean install can be performed once important files are backed up.

    Unable to get past step 1 . Tried both safe mode and safe mode with networking. Goes back to Inaccessible Boot Device :( inaccessible boot device.
