Windows 10: Incorrect Password

My laptop was connected to a work domain. I left that place of employment and now I'm using my laptop at home, but it kept thinking I should be on the work domain. So I went into settings and left the domain. To do so, it forced me to join a workgroup. I didn't have one so I created one. Then I rebooted the computer. Now I can't log in - When I first boot up and try to log in with my fingerprint, it says, "Your password changed on a different device. You must sign in to this device once with your new password, and then you can sign in with Windows Hello." But every time I try to log in, it says, "The password is incorrect. Try again." There is nowhere for me to change the domain on the sign-in screen. HELP!

The Password is Incorrect

I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

How do I get out of safe mode so I can reset my settings?

1. Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
3. In the window, click on Boot tab.
4. uncheck Safe boot, click on Apply and Ok. Restart

Not sure why it started in Safe mode. May have been out of sync with your phone from prev incorrect password. See if restart fixes. At least, you know what your universal MS password is. *Wink
