  1. Inexplicable BSoD

    Dear Community!

I have a gaming laptop (ASUS ROG Strix GL503VS-EI005T) and recently (about maybe from january...) I'm experiencing a lots of BSoDs. The weird thing is: they happen only when I don't use my computer...
When I'm using it, (playing, working, anything) it looks stable, and works with great performance. The system works perfectly, and the games running fast, and smooth.
But when I stand up from my desk, and leave the PC idle, (It's running almost 24/7) it suprises me with "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" and other unknown BSoDs, and then the PC restarts. itself. Its really annoying, and I need a solution.
I was tried several things, (Windows reinstall included 3 times with different drivers, 3DMark stress test without errors, disconnected all USB devices, and also a clean OS without 3rd party softwares...) but I can't find the solution...

Some infos if You need it:

    3DMark benchmark
    3DMark stress test #1
    3DMark stress test #2
    3DMark stress test #3

    Minidump report files from crashes
Bigger "Memory.dmp" files from a crash

    Could You help me please?

    Sincerely,
    Szabolcs Soóky

    :)

Thanks for your patient help and analysis, zbook. I'll step through some of your suggestions over the next few days - there's a lot to do and some look a bit hairy! That is, for a PC that is working sweetly right now...

Meanwhile, as requested in the BSOD thread (sorry, I misunderstood and posted there by mistake), I've attached both ZIP files.
    --------------------
One step I did try right away was to answer your question about whether my BIOS is up-to-date. I had no success at the AMI site but did get some info from this commercial site:

It was one of the '9' (I counted 10) listed here:

    How would I know?

If you want to test this, set up a Oracle VirtualBox VM and install a copy of Windows 10, any flavor. Once done, look at C:\WIndows. There will not be a Minidump folder there.

    Oracle VM setup 8/29

Neither of these have ever had a BSOD or .dmp file generated.

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
