  1. Inline upgrades fail with Windows 10, version 1909 updated April 2020

Has anyone had any luck upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 using the ISO from the VLSC site?

It seems as though every computer we try to upgrade on, no matter if it's 1809 or 1903 it freezes on the reboot then after a hard restart it shows 0xc1900101 0x20017 Safe_os error. Interestingly the 1903 update works fine on all these computers.

    :)

    Cumulative updates - April 14 2020

I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 version 1909 in late February 2020. For the past two months, I made attempts to get critical updates (March and April). Despite restarting my computer, they could not update the software. I say it is the VERSION
1909 is the root cause of all the computer problems.

  3. Microsoft blocks Windows 10 April Update for Intel SSD 600p Series

Microsoft is blocking some Intel SSDs from installing the April 2018 Update after discovering an incompatibility issue that causes performance and stability issues. In short, the problem was explained by Microsoft as: “When attempting to upgrade to Window 10 April 2018 Update select devices with certain Intel SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly.” Microsoft says that this issue has no workaround and that those that have attempted to update Windows 10 to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update should revert back to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709.

Unfortunately, the announcement by Microsoft fails to list what specific Intel SSD models are having issues with the OS update. We contacted Intel and discovered that the Intel SSD 600p Series of client drives that was first introduced to the market in 2016 is the most popular drive that is having issues.

  4. Inline upgrades fail with Windows 10, version 1909 updated April 2020

    Cumulative updates - April 14 2020

Since April’s patch Tuesday my computer just keep going around in circles trying to install an update. Normally it would install just by rebooting the computer, but I also tried doing this manually. Everytime when the computer starts up and tries to install
it, I finally get a message to say it "We couldn't complete the updates - Undoing changes - Don't turn off your computer" I must have gone through this cycle a dozen times now. I’ve google searched but not really found an answer. Fortunately the computer then
still works. I was also advised:

    C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads

Highlight everything in the list then hit Delete.

The offending update will be gone and Windows will have to download fresh copies of any updates you are due.

But again it failed to install.

    Windows Specification:

    Windows 10 Home 1903 (installed 20-07-2019)

What can I do to get this to install or fix this?

Until this is resolved I am loath to install the Feature Update to Windows 10 - Version 1909

    Many thanks in advance
