Insider Build 17733.rs5_release.180803-1525 as well as the previous versions are not...

I have had frustrating experience with these Insider builds for the last month or so. Nothing works. Please review the post below which summarizes three previous posts on the same issue. I have been using Build 17733 for the past 2 or 3 days and it is as bad as the previous version.

I developed a large number of simple apps using Visual Studio Community 2017 and they were all working. Suddenly I find all of them on my desktop and as soon as I click them, the splash screen comes up and then shut down. Today, I downloaded FITBIT and the same experience, the apps starts and shutdown.

Most of the problems are from Build 17713.rs5_release.18076-1551

The new version is no better. Is there a fix?

    :)

  2. Error when am updating to Windows 10 Insider Preview 17735.1000 (rs5_release)

    Hi,

Am experiencing problems when doing update with Windows 10 Insider Preview 17735.1000 (rs5_release). I downloads and prompts for a restart but after that am the update does not go to 100%. it stops at 61% then restarts again. I check and my version of windows
    still remains the same.

I have tried the following steps but it did not work for me:

    • I have done the troubleshooting step provided in the site by using wu170509.diagcab to fix it but it does not work.
    • I also tried doing the manual disabling of doing the net stop then renaming SoftwareDistribution but it still does not work
    • Also tried restarting my machine couple of times and redoing the update but nothing happens.
What steps do you further recommended to get this sorted out?

    Thanks,

  3. reverting to previous build/version

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I would appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue.

    • When the computer did froze? Is it when you tried to roll back?
    • Did you receive any error message?
I suggest you to remove all the external devices plugged in to the computer and check if it helps to resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please restart the computer and check whether it rolled back or not. If it loads Windows 10,
I suggest you to download the latest ISO of Windows 10 and perform automatic repair.

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    Steps to perform repair:

    a) Insert the installation DVD or USB
and boot Windows 8 from it.

    b) In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.

    c) Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

    d) Click on ‘Advanced options’ and select ‘Automatic Repair’ and select the operating system.

If you really would like to rollback, I suggest you to refer the below article on How to go back to the previous operating system (Windows 7/8.1) from Windows 10.

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy

    to help.

    Thank you.

    Insider build 17733 Activation Error

Sad to say but during last clean install the activation was made illegally.

Please reinstall legal Windows and than update it to 17733.
