Windows 10: Insider Preview Build About to Expire

I am using an activated windows 2004 (OS Build 20226.1000)

And recently I have started getting a message box informing that my insider build is about to expire on 2021/01/31 on every start. I checked for updates and there are none available.

Can you tell me about what this is ? Or what will happen if it expires and what should be done before the given date ? How to stop receiving it?

no idea, what you mean exactly. when you are an insider and installed windows 10 as insider, you automatically will get updates/upgrades.

so before an older windows 10 insider preview build will reach its expiration date, you normally will receive a newer build with a new expiration date that is few month further in the future.

so no need to do a fresh installation each time. simply update/upgrade to the new build automatically.

your installed software will keep installed and intact when a new build will be installed.

so for me there is no problem with that expiration date.

be sure, your windows 10 insider preview installation is "member of insider program".

be sure, that your windows 10 insider preview will receive and install fast ring updates.

 

What if windows Insider build expires?

All Preview builds have an expiration date.

Since you have computer activation you can continue getting Preview builds as they appear.

You can also get the public release at any time.
