Windows 10: Insider preview Windows Update still failing.

I did a repair install of my 18908 without any problems but I still get newer Insider updates just dissappearing part way through! *Confused

I even went into Group Policy Editor and manually turned on updates with the download and notify option. Windows Update STILL fails at Checking for updates... when after about one minute of doing that the update screen just drops back to this one saying that You device is missing important security and quality fixes. *Confused

• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the

I have tried a live chat with Windows support, and they did try to help by taking remote control but were not able to find a solution.

They advised me that they do not support windows insider preview and suggested I come to answers.microsoft.com

I have tried to run "msconfig" and on Services tab, I selected "Hide all Microsoft services" then disabled two services...

Mozilla Maintenace Service

NVIDIA Display Driver Service

then rebooted and tried again to update but still fails.

Does anyone have any ideas what is the cause?

If anyone can adise me it would be appreciated

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
