    Install Build 10041 ISO Failed


    I just downloaded the iso for build 10014, created an USB for it and then ran it to go from 9926 to 10014. I ran until nearly the end and then produced the screen below.

    Has anyone seen this sort of thing and what to I need to do to correct it?

    Stuck in Build 10041

    I have been stuck in Build 10041 for about a month. I can’t install build 10074, it goes to about 95 percent of install and then fails and the reverts back to 10041 The entire process takes about 3 hours is it possible to skip that build and installed
    a newer build?

    How did you initiate the install for build 10041, through Windows Update or using the .ISO file?

    You should consider downloading build 10041 as a .ISO and create a bootable copy then do a custom install:

    Whoops! I messed up big time.

    Seems like I am also having other troubles to with posting the picture.
    Anyway here is what the screen said.

    "We couldn't install Windows 10 Technical Preview
    We've set your PC back to the way is was right before you started installing Windows 10 Technical Preview
    0xC1900101-0x30017"

    This is the first time I've had installing a new build via the ISO route.

    Install Build 10041 ISO Failed

    I did when I did the clean install but my intent was to upgrade from 9926 from Windows 7. That worked fine when I went from 9whatever to 9926 and other earlier builds. Go figure!
