    I'm working remotely because of COVID with my grandson to build a Windows computer. He is a real newbie and is paying for everything himself so I don't want to waste is money.

    Unfortunately, the case that he bought does not have the ability to mount a DVD drive.

    Being unaware of this, he bought an OEM copy of Win 10 64 on DVD.

    I've never purchased an OEM package before but prebuilt systems that I've had would show only the OEM version number of Windows. When I looked for a product key, I only saw the OEM number. Therefore, I'm rationalizing that the OEM package hides but installs the real product key.

    One of our alternatives will be to use the media creation tool to create a USB flash drive version of the installation package and use the code from the OEM package to authorize the installation. However, I suspect that we will need the real Win product code not the OEM code. Otherwise, well have to return the OEM package and buy a product key.

    In short, before he breaks the seal of the Win package, does the DVD OEM version include a printed copy of the real product key in the package?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
