Windows 10: Install Windows10 from Ubuntu 18.04

Hi everyone,

First of all, sorry for my english, it's not my native language, and i hope i'll be clear in my explanations.

Recently, a friend of mine gave me a notebook, with Ubuntu 18.04 already installed on it. However, i want to replace it with Windows 10. So i bought to the store an usb stick installer for Windows 10 (I know i could have download an iso version of win10, but i dont have any Win10 license, so i directly bought it). The computer has already been formated, and i have literraly nothing on it to save, so i'ts not a problem for me if the installation of win10 delete Ubuntu.

Now, tell me please if i made something wrong:
In order ton install Win10, I did this:
-insert the usb stick in the laptop
-start my computer and reached the BIOS
-boot the system from the removable disk
-->at this point I have to choose between a 32 or 64 bits installation (My computer need the 64 bits installation)
After that, there's a loading screen, progressing normally, but when it's complete, i get this error message.

"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer
2. Choose your language settings, and then click Next
3. Click Repair your computer

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

File: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

Status: 0xc0000225

Info: The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains error"


I don't know what to do. All the solutions given don't work in my case. My usb stick is my installation disc, and i don't even reach the others menus (for solution 2 and 3).

Any thoughts about my problem ?
