    I'm getting the message "Installation did not complete successfully. see the IDE log for details" in Android studio.

    I'm on Windows 10 and sent all my SDK Files to my OS (C) Drive and it only built half of the SDK with several events getting errors.


    My computer only has a OS (C) Drive with 1 TB of space.


    I also just factory reset my computer because a bunch of files were getting error messages.


    How can I fix this?


    Also what is the correct way to build an SDK using Android Studio?


    I went into SDK Manager and selected Androids 4.0 to current.

    If you have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling Android Studio. The I suggest you to try to uninstall and reinstall the third party(Android Studio) software.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.


    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
