    i was trying to upgrade from windows 7 using a media creation tool after the installation my pc restarted and got an error that Installation failed in SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation, 0xC1900101 0x20017

    Installation of Windows10 failed in SAFE_OS phase with error in BOOT

    I tried to install Windows 10 on my Samsung RX511 laptop but the installation failed towards the end of the installation procedure with the message:

    0xC1900101 - 0x20017

    The installation failed in SAFE_OS phase with an error in the BOOT operation.

    Has anyone experienced this failure on a Samsung RX511 laptop and found a fix for this problem?
