Perfect. If I am not mistaken Recovery should be 499MB. What version of Windows are you installing ? starting with 1709 it's 499MB. 99MB efi partition (actually, it's 100 but it took 1MB for gap). MSR does not show up under disk management. Use diskpart, open command prompt:
    diskpart
    select disk 0
    list par
    exit

list par will show everything. You can mark the thread "SOLVED" now.

It's old. Current is 1709. You can download the latest version from here or eventually it will update to 1709:
    Download Windows 10

    Thanks

Will that download of the latest version be another full clean install where I have to disconnect my other HDD again or will it just be an update?

Maybe I should return it if they sold me an old one

The latest version just came out recently so there's no way for them to keep it up to date. The most important thing is the product key used to activate Windows. If you've already use the product key to activate Windows then consider it's sold.

As I said, you can run Windows Updates (Start->Settings->Windows Updates) then it will update to 1709 Build 16299.125 eventually. You need not to re-install Windows. I am just making a point that starting with version 1709, the Recovery partition will be 500MB (499MB + 1MB gap).

You actually did not have to disconnect anything when installing Windows provided you know exactly what to do. Since we give you suggestion online, we just take precaution and advise people to just install with one disk connected thus avoiding making any mistake deleting/installing in wrong disk. There's other shortcut way to install Windows, we just gave you the standard, straight forward, step by step way so there won't be any confusion.
