    Installed Avast, but Antimalware Service Executable still on. I want it off.


    I'm trying not to go into a rage here. This stupid service. I swear to Christ.

    I WANT IT TO STOP.

    I read that if I installed another anti-virus that it would shut this stupid thing off, because it keeps taking up SIXTY PERCENT OF MY CPU USAGE.

    That is so freaking unacceptable. So I installed something else that hopefully doesn't annihilate the majority of my cpu in the hopes that I could use my computer for things like, I don't know.... ANYTHING.

    I'm about to just install Linux, I'm so freaking annoyed.

    Someone please tell me what it takes to get rid of this God forsaken Windows Defender. I HATE IT.

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?

    I was having the same issue like for weeks on my HP Probook Ci5 12GB, the Antimalware Service Executable process was eating up massive CPU, DISK and RAM. After all the hard time I got searching the solution I finally landed on
