Windows 10: Installed Windows 10 after I had a Linux Distro, Now my GPU isn't recognized. Just Says...

Hey Guys,

If I check device manager my Display Adapter= Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

I know my Video Card is a NVIDIA Geforce 2080 TI. However, when I install the drivers from NVIDIAs website I get an error "These drivers are incompatible with this version of Windows."

I've had this video card work successfully on this Windows 10 before, so I know it's plugged in. I'm just hoping the Linux Distro didn't screw up my kernel now my Motherboard can't recognize my video card.

Any thoughts why I can't see my video card?

Maybe but, it still might not give you what you think you're getting. Give the steps on the first answer of this article a try:

Which distro of Linux?

I had an old pc laying around I tried installing Foldix on but that failed mierably. Anyway...

What distro of linux should I use for this pc (specs will be listed below). I intend to use it for folding and as a backup PC and something to use to read directions on incase I need to do something to my PC I can have directions right here.

533MHz PIII-based Celeron
256MB SDRAM unknown speed (probably PC100)
ASUS MEW-VM
10gb hard drive
no video card
Linksys LNE 100TX network card (no onboard LAN)

If anyone could suggest a Linux distro and direct me to some Linux dirvers for this thing I... uhh... will send you an e-cookie and click the thanks button!
