Windows 10: installing a new laptop

if I buy a new laptop which hypothetically could have been manufactured say 12 months before its sale, will it need updating with many months of updates before it can be used . I have seen reviews from people who have purchased a new laptop and have had to spend many hours bringing the machine up to the latest update before it becomes fit for use and this is far from an isolated case.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
