Windows 10: Installing Epson Scan 2 software error.

Hello. I have a workforce 7720 AiO that I use frequently. Never had any issues with software installation in my Win 10 home. Only today I couldn't use my scanner as the drivers for it disappeared. I can print just fine but I could no longer scan anything. I tried reinstalling the driver for it but I keep getting the same error even after uninstalling the Workforce drivers. The error I kept receiving was, "Could not copy files. Make sure the destination disk isn't read-only." I'm not sure why that is as I am the admin on my laptop. Everything else installs just fine except that software. What c

Epson Scan Crashes - Epson Perfection V700 Scanner

I just tried a later suggestion and it worked great for me:
On my Dell PC, right clicked Epson scan shortcut and selected "Run as administrator" ...
A tiny pain to remember each time I'm selecting the scanner shortcut, but much less pain than the problems I was experiencing!!!

 

Epson Scan Crashes - Epson Perfection V700 Scanner

I have an Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner and have not had any previous trouble with Windows 10. Recently Epson Scan started to crash. This happens when I click on any window outside the Epson scan interface and then click back into Epson scan. Then a blue circle starts turning forever. I have to close Epson scan using the task manager or by right clicking Epson scan in the taskbar/close and Windows will send an error report.

1- I have uninstalled the Epson Scan software and reinstalled the latest driver from the Epson Website for Win 10 64 bit.
2- I have tried to roll back to an earlier graphics card driver.
I have tried using a different USB cable plugged into a different port.

So far the problem continues. I suspect the problem could be due to the latest Windows feature update or maybe the Graphics card driver could be to blame.

Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this problem would be appreciated.

We understand your concern as you are unable to use the scanning option on your Epson All-in-one Eco Tank 2760. In order to get clarity
and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• 
  What is the make and model of the PC?
  
• 
  Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  
• 
  What is the error that you see while scanning?
  

Meanwhile,
we would suggest you to install
Epson ScanSmart v3.4.5
utility from Epson and check.



If the issue persists, then
we would suggest you to update the scan driver and check.

1. Press
   Windows + X keyand
   selectDevice Manager
   from the context menu.
   
2. 
   Spot and expand the “Imaging devices”.
   
3. 
   Right click on the Scanner driver and select
   “Uninstall”
   
4. 
   Check the box beside “Delete the driver software for this device”
   
5. 
   Restart the PC and then install the driver from
   
   Epson website
