Windows 10: Installing new OS on new drive

Im going to be installing a new motherboard with new Internal Solid State M.2 drive which im going to install the OS on.

Currently Win10 is on Local Disk C Drive on a Sata HD.

Ill disconnect this drive first then install the OS on the new drive and im presuming this will create a new 'C Drive to install it on.

What happens when i plug the old Sata drive back(as i want to then format and use as storage, but dont want to wipe it until im back up and running on the new drive)
Will it give me 2 options on boot up or will one prioritise over the other?

• shutdown
• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

We suggest creating a new copy of the recovery drive and then follow the steps provided by Andre Da Costa above this thread.

can't install my OS again

Your not trying to install it overclocked are you ?. GL with the new drive.
