Windows 10: Installing new OS on new SSD.

I have Windows 10 on a separate SSD that has failed. I’d like to simply install a new SSD, and also the most up-to-date Windows OS. Since the current OS is on a failing, non-bootable drive, how do I install a new OS on a clean drive? I am not aware of any bootable OS’s on any other drives, or images, or anything I “think” I can boot from. The other drives are storage. I’m anticipating starting with a fresh SSD, and the ability to install an OS on it, either from CD/DVD, or internet download. Thanks so much for your help!

and i want to move my OS and only my OS over to it

so that i can boot from it.

Installing New SSD Questions

Hello, I am installing a new SSD in my younger brothers PC and just want to make sure that I know what I am doing before I do it. Against my better judgement he bought a prebuilt PC from bestbuy that didnt come with an SSD so naturally his OS is on a HDD,
my question is what are the steps I should take to move his windows OS to the new SSD, start fresh with just windows, but keep it so it is the full paid version of window and he dosent need another key. Please help me understand so I do not brick his pc, thank

New Machine, New HDD with OEM OS, new 250GB SSD

I have a new Dell in a box with the OEM OS (Win 10 home) on a HDD. I have a clean, new 250 GB SSD from a previous machine

Before I start it up, I would like to install the OS to the 250GB SSD . Would I be better off to start up from the HDD and then migrate to the SSD, or ...?
