Windows 10: Installing win 10

Hi all, so i recently was able to get my build completely finished minus the os system when i read the easiest way was the media creation tool.


Upon installing win from that on my new build upon boot up blue logo and black sceen plus spinner it freezes almost instantly i then made a recovery drive this took almost 4 hours to recover on my build just for it to then give me the "reboot or select proper boot device" instead of booting up the clear win install on the ssd.


Sometimes while going into system repair before it freezes i get specific files errors usually one that was the srttrail.txt and one time a clear .dll was straight up missing dont remember what one exactly.


My first mobo did have broken socket pins un the cpu well this was replaced by amazon who sent me a brand new mobo instead of a renewed version no broken pins or anything else put in intel cpu super carefully. Bios says its running fine so it thought theres no issue there and my issue is still with either the windows install or the ssd. Not sure which is having the issue.


I dis diskpart and it looked wierd its a new ssd it says 931gb capacity but 0 free?


I also want to know if because my only other comps are oem win10 if i do need to legitimately buy a new win10 usb/disk for it to actually run correctly.

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

• Let us know are you referring to Update list when you say "Win 10 mailing list"?

Meanwhile, I suggest you to Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool which fixes the Windows corruption error if there are any. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  and hit Enter.
