    Hya.
    Once again many thanks.
Yes that option does work,But I don't want the documents on the C drive I want to keep them on the F drive.
When I select the move option yes it does work but it transfers the whole of documents on to the C drive.

When I had windows seven I had the same issue when I decided to keep all my doc's etc on a separate HDD,But it was easier then when I right clicked on the doc folder in the C drive then properties I could select the find location of the doc's on the F drive and job was done the docs stayed on the F drive.
Now in windows 10 I don't get that option to find target,If I do select that tab it takes me to a blank page cant access the doc's on the F drive. It's very difficult to explain by typing the situation to another person,And it must be difficult for you on the other end of this post to try and see what I'm trying to achieve.
Windows 10 does have some different ways of working I admit,Well I have short cuts of doc's on the desktop anyway,I even tried that method in the C drive but it wanted to take the whole folder over that's not what I require.*Banghead
    Very confusing.
Once again many thanks,Very much appreciated.*Drink1

    accessing storage drives :

Note Windows primary hdd healthy partitions or any primary healthy partitions are likewise treated as another hdd in Windows. e.g. if you have partitioned your system or storage drive for storage or dual boot purposes .

In file explorer directory tree (left folder pane) find your storage drive i.e ( local disc ( F: ) select that drive using > then likewise select users >your name > picture library > picture sub folder your pictures should be there and remain on local disc ( F: ) or whichever drive is your storage drive target .

You can make shortcuts to any library folder ( like pictures, video ,documents . or music folders or the sub folders within those library folders . on the storage drive ( F : ) or any storage drive directory tree to your system drive ( C: ) Windows desktop .

That's how you use drive ( F: ) or any storage drive either shortcuts and / or accessing it directly via the file explorer directory trees .

accessing applications /programs on storage drives :

OTOH x86 and x64 programs on a storage drive would be this computer > local disc (X : ) whereas X is the storage drive (s) or system drive ( C*Smile to click on then x86 for 32 bit or program folders and ( Programs ) for 64 bit program folders the program application .exe will execute by clicking on the application icon within the file folder folder you can likewise make shortcuts to ant exe icon on your storage drives to your system ( C *Smile drive desktop or a folder on your system drive .

Note some programs ( .exe) and otherwise executable applications and games may have to be on your system drive to work at all or at least originally installed on your storage drive YMMV . Documents ,Videos ,Pictures and Music will work fine from a storage drive . I have shortcuts tom my storage partitions and storage drives on my system drive deskop and named accordingly e.g. Pictures drive X or hdd x or just pictures depending on the configuration.or the sub folders name and a sub folder shortcut same for . exe program executables ( application shortcuts ) to a storage drive

Saving folders ,files ,pictures ,videos ,etc . and *documents* to a storage drive folder or library folder or sub folder :

To save documents , work ,images ,videos ,music etc. *files or folders or documents to the storage drive * you will have to browse to *that* drive (user) library , folder or sub folder just like above like above in the directory tree * in the save as window left pane *and save it there in the storage drive target folder .........

    alternate :
or simply save it to the desktop > then drag it to the desktop shortcut to the storage drive target folder (if you made one) or just save it there and it will be in the shortcut ( target folder )

    also :
You can always open a file explorer window > tile it and drag your file or document you saved to the desktop to the target drive >user >library > folder or sub folder in the file explorer directory tree on your storage drive also .

Once you have saved a file to a folder and wish to edit it , it will save to where it came from (replace it ) or if you just view it or play it and close the window it will go back to where it came from .

    PlatypusKnight .
Many thanks for your message and you help on this matter.

Well last night before my bedtime I was sitting in front of the desktop,As said that I have shortcuts of my documents etc on my desktop and that wasn't causing any issues with the C drive It was just a short cut of the F drive.

As time went on I thought if that works for the desktop why can't it work in the C drive.
So this is what I did last night,I right clicked on the documents folder on the desktop and selected Copy then went to the Start clicked on Documents it opened up blank so decided to Right click on the blank space and selected Paste and a copy of the shortcut from the desktop was now in the documents folder in documents in the C drive.

Just one small hitch is when I select documents from the start it opens up with the doc's folder,Then double click and all my documents are there.
Hey Presto,That will do me fine just to get over the slight issue.
Today I will do the same with pictures video etc.*Doh

Well I wish that I could shake your hand with all the time and effort that you have put into the problem that I had,Well we shall see how thing develop from here on,At the moment I'm quite happy with it as it is.
