Windows 10: Intel 6 series /C200 Series Chipset family USB enhanced host controller 1C26, Win 10 x64...

Hi


I have a repeated problem with

Intel 6 series /C200 Series Chipset family USB enhanced host controller 1C26, Win 10 x64 driver with wireless mouse & keyboard, fails on cold start up or restart.


Windows 10 64 bit (all latest updates as of, 29. April 219), latest BIOS and other drivers too.
On a cold start up Wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are dead, or at least no connection to the system. Every time!.

The receivers for the Keyboard and mouse are connected to rear USB sockets - directly off of the motherboard (Asus P8Z68-V)

Problem started some months ago (after working fine for years). Very probably after one of the Win 10 Updates.

I have uninstalled it in device manager and deleted drivers too, and auto-reinstalled with (I presume Latest) driver. But same problem as before on cold and restart.


Error status:

In device manager status reads:

"Cannot start. Code (10)

Insufficient resources to complete API."


Temporary fix: works every time but annoying.

1. Connect a wired mouse to front USB panel on the PC

2. Open device manager - using wired mouse.

3 Scroll down to "Intel 6 series /C200 Series Chipset family USB enhanced host controller 1C26" where warning sign is visible.

4. Right click "Disable" and confirm "Yes"

5. Right click on the Disabled, and select enable.

and then devices work again. This has to be done after every restart/power Up.


Deleting and reinstalling did not work.


Is there a permanent fix for this?

Hello, thank you for your help

I went to the clevo website and installed the driver for my chipset (This is the one I should get right?). The installation worked however my USB ports still don't work.

In the device manager two new drivers appeared

Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C26

Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D

However I still have two unknown devices :

Location : on Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D or 1C26

and two base system devices:

Location : PCI bus 3, device 0, function 1 and PCI bus 3, device 0, function 3

I tried again to use TimmL's solution but I didn't find standard Enhanced PCI to USB-host controller.

Instead I tried to pick the driver in "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"-> Standard USB Host Controller->USB Composite Device.

The installation is successful but after 5 seconds I get a blue screen and when I reboot the driver isn't installed.

After the uninstall and restart, I still have the error:

Intel - Other hardware - Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C26 - Fout 0x800f0219.

Windows 10

How can I solve this problem?
