    Intel centrino wireless N1030 not working since updated to windows 10


    Well since I updated to windows 10 I cant turn my wifi ON!

    I checked device manage but I says the adapter is working properly

    I tried to find new drivers update but it says I'm up to date... but still the only drivers update I can find for a Intel centrino N1030 are for windows 8


    I have a Dell Inpiron N5110 btw

    Intel Centrino Wireless-N1030 Driver Code 45 (Windows 10, Inspiron N411z)

    Hello everyone,

    I suddenly have not been able to connect to WiFi. I found out it's because my network adapter (Intel (R) Centrino (R) Wireless-N 1030) has a Code 45 (Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware
    device to the computer). The version I have is 15.4.1.1.

    I have tried:

    • many many many re-boots
    • uninstalling driver
    • updating driver (it says it is up-to-date)
    • updating BIOS to A06
    • adjusting power options
    • many user suggestions from different forum posts

    Also, the driver seems to randomly exit code 45, so I get intermittent WiFi connectivity. But, this is not frequent/reliable enough for obvious reasons!

    Edit:

    It seems that Intel discontinued support for this driver (see here). I can't tell if there's a different driver
    offered to replace it, when I run either the Dell/Intel driver update softwares they don't identify my network adapter as needing an update...

    Some people have reported this issue when they upgraded to Windows 10, as it seems that Inspiron N411z does not support Windows 10 and
    Windows 10 does not support this network adapter driver. However, I have had Windows 10 since Microsoft forced the upgrade and have just now encountered the problem.

    Any and all help is very appreciated, I have looked through pages of other forum answers and none of their solutions has worked so far.

    I tried both options without success. Prior to the update on 12-12-15 I had wireless access. Now my wireless button will not turn on. The system doesn't recognize it as being off. Says it is a problem with the hw wifi button. I have tried rebooting.
    Shutting off the system and rebooting, and what you suggested. All to my sadness. It works of course with wired system. It worked with wifi up to the minute the update was installed. After wifi sense was on my system I had no way to turn on wifi. What
    now? I also tried updating drivers particularly the n1000 intel Centrino.
