    Intel Display Driver Causes Unadjustable Dim Screen


    With my Vaio laptop, Windows 10 updated and the Intel HD graphics family adapter (dated 11/18/2015) causes the screen to go unadjustably dim. Rolling back the driver used to fix it, but it will now not let me roll back the driver. Can you help me? I can barely see the screen. No adjustment settings make any difference. This is definitely a driver issue.

    Intel and Microsoft Basic Display adapter Driver problems - brightness + Cant project

    Hi,

    Samsung 450R Laptop

    Windows 10

    Installed Intel video driver: 10.18.10.4276

    When the intel driver is installed, the screen is very dim, and the brightness controls do not work.

    To fix this, I rolled back the driver, which puts the microsoft basic display adapter in use. The screen instantly brightens to a normal level.

    However, under the microsoft basic display adapter I cannot project to another screen, and everytime I shut down the computer it reverts back to the dim intel driver.

    Really stuck on how to fix this issue.

    Lenovo ideapad P400, dimmed screen, can't change brightness with Windows 10

    Upgraded my Lenovo ideapad P400 to Windows 10, got dimmed screen, can't change backlight brightness, tried:

    1. Adaptive display turned off, still stuck with dimmed display.

    2. update Intel HD graphic 4000 drivers to latest & also install a previous version, still stuck with dimmed display.
