Windows 10: Intel GPU driver adds support for Windows 10 version 2004

Intel has finally released a new version of DCH graphics driver for Windows 10 with support for May 2020 Update (version 2004). Intel DCH graphics driver 27.20.100.8187 is now rolling out to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and newer, and the biggest highlight of the new release is initial support for the Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

Intel DCH driver version 27.20.100.8187 comes with improved compatibility for Windows 10 May 2020 Update, which is scheduled to be released to the general public on May 28.

Aside from that, there’s not a ton of new changes in Intel’s GPU driver update, but it comes bundled with new audio driver version 10.27.0.9 for 9th, 8th generation Intel processors.

For Windows 10 May 2019 Update compatibility and performance improvement, you may need to update your device’s graphics drivers, particularly if you’re on an older version of Windows 10 and not yet running the Universal Windows Drivers.

Intel says its GPU drivers are now WDDM 2.7 compliant and it introduces support for Dolby Vision and the new DirectX 12 Shader Model 6.5 compiler.

Intel is also fixing an issue where the colour and brightness of the desktop may change with mouse movement when you have enabled Display Power Saving.

According to Intel, the new GPU driver is also unlocked and you can install it on your computer without your PC manufacturer’s validation. For years, users have been forced to use OEM-supplied Intel GPU drivers and wait for the PC manufacturer approves the new version.

In other words, you should be able to install Intel drivers with Intel’s Support and Assistant tool, and that’s perfectly acceptable for carrying out daily computing tasks and casual gaming.

With the new GPU drivers, Intel has also bundled the latest version of its Graphics Command Center.

The hardware requirements for Intel GPU update also appear to be unchanged since the last major release.

The May 2020 Update arrives later this month


In preparation for its release, Microsoft has already released the May 2020 Update to insiders on the Release Preview ring. If you’ve joined the Insider program, you should consider updating your GPU drivers.

The software giant believes that the final build has already been finalized, but a new rumour suggests that Windows 10 version 2004 has been delayed due to a zero-day vulnerability and it might not arrive until the very end of May 28.

GPU crashes after installing windows 10

I appreciate your interest on windows 10.

I understand your concern and will help you with the issue.

As you said, you are facing the issue while playing a game that requires better gpu.so, the issue is related to graphics driver.

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

Method 1

As, you tried uninstalling nvidia gpu and installing newest drivers(358.50),and it did not work. so, in that case I suggest you to download and install the earlier version of the driver from
manufacturer website and check .

If issue persists,

Method 2

I suggest you to disable Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and check if it helps..

To do so, Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Type devicemanager in the
  search bar.
  
• 
  Expand the display driver.
  
• 
  Right click on
  Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 driver and click disable.
