Windows 10: Intel HD Graphics driver not able to install

I upgraded both my desktop and laptop to Windows 10 recently. The desktop's upgrade went smoothly; NVIDIA already has Windows 10-compatible drivers. However, my laptop with Intel HD Graphics is a different story. I've tried the Dell-certified drivers as well as the latest ones directly from Intel, and neither work.

When I attempt to install the driver, I get an error message stating "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

The issue is that by installing this upadate i am not able to change my brightness it's right now 100% but i can't reduce it to 50%

How to solve this issue??

I am installing my previous intel graphics driver then it's working properly but my automatic updates frequently update this driver.

Your best option is to re-install the Intel HD Graphics driver software, which will include the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel

Make a note of the version of your HD Graphics - You will find this in Device Manager - Display Driver (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Go to the
Intel Website and download the latest driver for that version of Intel HD Graphics

Sounds like it works, but how would I go about doing it? I only have the executable installer.

 

Hopefully 7-zip will extract the files.

 

Which files should I be modifying? The steps on the Intel forum thread are unclear.

 

How new is your laptop and which generation Intel HD Graphics do you have (model for HD Graphics)?

Is Windows Update not providing a driver for your Intel HD Graphics in Windows 10?

 

Make sure you are using the 64bit driver. The error you get is typical of using a 32bit on a 64bit system and vice verse.

I usually get the message when installing newer Intel Graphics drivers that does not support older Intel HD Graphics models.

Just make sure the drivers you're installing is for your specific Intel HD Graphics model eg. HD 3000/4000/4600 and is compatible with Windows 10.

 

Got the same problem. Windows updates only installed the Microsoft basic adapter. I'm using a laptop ofc

 

Which version of HD graphics do you have, 3000/4000/4600? CPU specifics would also help. Installing 32 or 64 bit?

 

Already solved it. The new build updated. And then the driver automaticly downloaded and installed

 

I'm trying to install drivers for HD 5500. I wouldn't make the mistake of trying to install 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit system; I even double-check when I download drivers to make sure I'm not accidentally grabbing the wrong one.

I'll try running an update to see if I can get the drivers installed.
