Windows 10: Intel Optane installation / Boot Issue

Hi, I'm having a hard time installing the intel optane that was pre-installed with the device.


I had my laptop reinstalled with Windows 10 Pro because the HDD i was using broke and I had to buy an SSD. Then I saw that their is an intel optane installed in my laptop but it doesnt seem to be working. So I tried to set it up with the help of the guide I downloaded from intel.


So what I did was downloaded the driver and then switched the controller mode from AHCI to RST then reinstall windows. And when I did my system doesnt boot up at all. It says they can't find a drive to boot. So I went to bios and saw that my SSD wasn't supported by RST. And then I switched back to AHCI mode but now it says stop code: inaccessible boot device. And now its preparing automatic repair and its stuck on that. I have so many questions right now but I need to get my system working first.


My device is a Lenovo Ideapad 330s

is installed in your system and the module’s status, you need to have either of the apps listed below installed on your system:

• Intel® Optane™ Memory User Interface
  
• Intel® Rapid Storage Technology User Interface
  

Click on the Start menu and search for any of the apps listed above. Once you find the app, refer the article
How to Determine What Intel® Optane™ Memory Technology is in Your System
to know where to look for the module’s status.

2. What is the make and model of the PC?
   
3. Are you using a SSD or a HDD?

Intel Optane Error, Can't Uninstall

Hi Mike

I do wish Microsoft and Intel would resolve these bugs in the updates, if it is not Intel RST, it is Intel Optane . . .

The best thing to do would be to go to either the Intel or Dell Websites, then download and install the current version of Intel Optane, then restart your PCand uninstall Intel Optane, re-installing Intel Optane should fix its installer,allowing you to then
uninstall it . . .
