Windows 10: Intel(R) 82562V-2 10/100 Network Card in Dell Inspiron 530 causing system freeze Windows 1809

Hello,


My Dell Inspiron 530 running Windows v.1809 continues to freeze every time I connect my ethernet cable to my network card Intel(R) 82562V-2 10/100 .

I boot the system and when it establishes an internet connection it freezes. When I reboot with out the cable connected it runs great, NO FREEZING.

I have uninstalled it many times in device manager with no resolution. I have gone to Intel to get updated drivers, and every time I run the update from Intel to update the driver, it states no Intel peripheral can be found.

I can not go to Windows Update to download a newer driver.

I have gone as far as to do a clean install of Windows only to get the same issue again. I have also run all troubleshooting and component test on the system, all giving the system a clean bill of health.


*So at this point I have NO INTERNET CONNECTION ABILITY, so any suggestions to do anything online through this PC is futile!

I beg to differ from posters 2 and 3, if only because I dislike the driver support for older Intel onboard graphics. The GT730 is supported by the latest nVidia drivers.

What graphics driver is the Inspiron 530s running now? If it is the Microsoft Basic display drivers, that'd give you a serious motive to put in a more up-to-date graphics card.

The 250W PSU in the 530s is maybe a little light, but I doubt that the graphics cards sold as options with the 530s consume less power than the GT730.

I have the Insider Win10 on a Dell Inspiron 530S [Small Form Factor] working just fine with the onboard VGA adapter. If wanting to change I'd have to find a card with the Low Profile mounting plate.

 

Problems with Windows 10 freezing on Dell 2 in 1

I am having problems with a new Dell 2 in 1 Inspiron 13 7353. Dell reinstalled Windows 10 Home, but two problems continue.

1. The screen periodically blanks out and then I get an error response "Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered" My drivers show up-to-date when checking via device manager.

2. The system freezes and had to be powered off and on again. It will not come out of sleep mode with without a power on and power off.

Has anyone had this problem and solved it or does anyoen have any suggestions?
