Windows 10: Intel(R) graphics control panel stopped working

Opened mcafee lifesave and PC went unresponsive. The cursor and ctrl alt delete didnt work. Fyi keyboard's caps lock wouldn't respond. And windows didnt reboot itself so I Did a force shut down and successfully booted. Could somebody enlighten me on what exactly happened?

Intel graphics control panel question: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R500 running Windows 10, with Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) graphics. I can't bring up the Intel graphics control panel. I have the impression
it's not available because the age of the Thinkpad makes Windows 10 drivers not available. Any answers?

Set Color saturation to -15

Apply, OK, Close

Open Windows Night Light

Turn On

Turn Off

Close

Open Intel Graphics Control Panel

Color saturation is back to 0
