    Intermittent Blue screen


    Lately I’ve been getting a blue screen need to restore error 0xc000000e normally after I’ve booted, but sometimes on restart.


    restarting the pc gets past this temporarily but is happening maybe 2-3 times a day when it’s on all day.
    I’ve tried so far:

    sfc / scannow - no integrity violations found

    windows startup repair - no errors found

    uninstalling windows hello as it was flagging errors in the event viewer just before the crashes.

    run deep virus scans using avg - nothing found

    reinstalled windows from a usb media tool keeping files

    removing all peripherals except headset, keyboard and mouse


    I’m running on the latest windows 10 x64


    any help would be much appreciated

    Startup Blue Screen

    Hi Jon,

    Startup blue screen error(s) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device software drivers
    • Corrupted Windows update system files
    • Software/Security conflicts

    We would like to know some information:

    • Did you get any blue screen stop error codes?
    • Have you tried booting in Safe mode?
