Windows 10: Intermittent Freezing linked to Cursor movement

When the computer crashed was it in clean boot or was it prior to clean boot?

Control Panel / System / Advanced system settings / Startup and Recovery - Settings button / System failure / [un-check] Automatically restart

That will pause it before a Restart, if it's a BSOD

Get the error code at the bottom, and google it

Whenever I've seen these, what have I done? From memory . . . I haven't had this in a while:

Since it's a laptop . . .

Go to the manufacturer's web site, and see if there is new software for

1.) the video card
2.) the BIOS
3.) if the problem persists, verify current drivers for everything else

Install the software with only the OS running, as I have described above.

Never clean the Registry with CCleaner.

Never use Disk Cleaner to clean System Files, although you really want to re-claim those GB of space.

But what's a bigger problem (if this is the problem) - wasting GB of disk space, that doesn't hurt anything (so DISM will work without error), or having a malfunctioning computer

2.) see if mouse has the current driver
