Windows 10: Internal camera stopped working, system thinks none is installed

My internal camera stopped working in the summer. In Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > Cameras it says "no cameras found" under connected cameras, and likewise I could not find it initially in the device manager. Troubleshooters did not help as camera was not detected. However, today I was able to find the camera "hidden" in the device manager and noted the device properties as device not started with a date around when the camera was noted as no longer working. How should I proceed? I have downloaded the most recent camera driver from Lenovo, and here are my laptops details:

My internal camera is no longer working on my ASUS F550 with Windows 10 64 bit

In my device manager in the imaging tab the integrated camera is not listed; only my MX920 canon printer is listed

Does that mean a driver is missing or a card is missing.

This is not a plug and play device, it's built into my laptop.. lol.

Sorry my bad for not mentioning, the program does install and seem to work fine. It did work when I first installed it, but it stopped working. Even if I freshly reinstall.

Errors are as followed..

When I open the program:

A webcam was not found or is not working properly.
Please click connect button and try again.

When I click the connect button....

Camera not found. The camera is in use by another application, or not connected. Make sure the camera is connected and working properly, then try again.

It is connected properly, and there are no other programs running in the back ground.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

Let’s try running inbuilt Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to get the problem automatically detected and fixed. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed
correctly.

  Press Windows + W keys on your keyboard to get the search option.
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting and click
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Now click on view all option.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Device and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.
  

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to contact your system manufacturer for the latest drivers and get it updated on the system.
