    Hmmm
Everything seems to be working. Using chrome instead of Firefox definitely makes a difference. Weird. Everything seems to be working but it has in the past few weeks. A sort of on again, off again. But now I have this thread to cycle through fixes.

Thanks again for all your help *Smile

Glad it worked out for you. *Smile

So to get this straight to help others out; Besides a malware scan and changing browsers, did you try anything else?

    Hi HippsieGypsie
    Ah yes.
    • Resetting Network Adapter (Winsock Reset) -post 1
    • Download Firewall Software by GlassWire -post 4
    • Press the Windows key > Type > Task Manager > Expand the window > If it’s the first time opened, down at the bottom click “Show more” > It should open to Processes tab > Look at the Network column to see what’s using it the most. Please report that/those percentages. -post 6
    • Which browser are you using or does it matter which one you use if getting the same results? (it does make a difference) -post 6
    • If the problem persists, open Command Prompt (as Admin) and type each of these commands and allow each one to finish. This resets your TCP/IP stack.
      ipconfig /flushdns
      nbtstat -R
      nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset all (The following command was not found: int reset all.)
      netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset (needs a restart to impliment) -post 6
    • Not sure where this one came from. Start run command, type msconfig and run. Next dialog under services turn on 'Hide all Microsoft services' at the bottom. Disable all services. Turn on sets of 3 (to narrow it down because you need to restart in that state to test) services to find the group, then test each one of the three to find the culprit.
    Thankyou once again.

You're welcome, boomerang. So it seems it was Firefox that was the problem. Don't use it myself, but I understand there are various versions of it you may want to try.

You may want to mark this thread as solved. Good luck to you.
