  1. Internet connection issues?

    It's more than that.

First, I bought my laptop probably 6 years ago but it has been well maintained. MSI GT72 2QD.

It came with windows 8 which automatically updated itself to windows ten.

With a recent bout of updates my browsers stopped working. All of them. My laptop said I was connected but every browser I tried to use would give me a different error about why it could not connect. My laptop is connected to the same network as my phone and ps4. Neither of them have had issues, but I did test this on a few different networks.

I spent probably a week going through every method I could to try and fix it. Everything. I checked proxy settings, turned them off, deleted extensions, clearing caches, even used recommendations for command prompt.

I first reset windows without doing anything to my files and that made no change. The browser still would not connect.

So finally fed up I went and did a full windows recovery and now nothing about it works. I still can't use a browser and now my laptop says my last product key can't be used on this copy of windows.

My laptop is effectively useless to me. Any idea what is wrong with this thing?

    :)
