Windows 10: Internet connection lost and cannot sign in to Windows

Hi all,

I upgraded to Office 365 yesterday and my screen started flashing every time I performed a function. I needed to fix a display problem so I ran msconfig and selected start in safe mode and rebooted. The start screen came up for me to enter my windows password but it was rejected.I reset my password just in case that was the problem. Then I noticed that the internet connection icon had a red cross next to it which, from what I have read, means no wi-fi. But my PC does not have wifi and I am connected to my modem via an ethernet cable. The lights on the ethernet port on the back of the PC and the modem indicate that it is connected OK and the internet is fine with other devices.


I have gone through all of the options available via Shift-Restart/Advanced Options (Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Command Prompt, Restore) but all of them request my Windows password which is rejected because i do not have internet connectivity. And I cannot use F8 to access startup options.


So I am stuck. How do I restore the internet so that I can login?

Lost internet connection after upgrading to Windows 10.

after downloading windows 10, i had no internet wifi connections. tried almost everything from community.

I downloaded talent driver network software to an

external drive using another computer and then ran the set up on non internet computer. Wifi networks reappeared and I was able to get on the internet and download some apps but connects lost by the next day when turned on computer, Again unable to get
on internet and network adapters not listed. Talent driver software no longer effective.

tried INFO GROUND(/) STEP 1. NO CHANGED...no connections listed.

thanks fo trying to help. Any other suggestions

 

Completely lost internet connection


So I randomly lost all internet connection on my desktop PC through Ethernet and WiFi. All other devices work on the network except for the PC. I have tried all steps I’ve found through google to fix it but it hasn’t worked. I honestly have no clue what to do.

Intel i5 6500
Gtx 1060
Msi b150m gaming pro mobo

I suggest you to refer to follow the steps below and check if that helps:

Step 1: Try Disconnecting from the Internet

• 
  If there is a Wi-Fi icon on the sign-in screen, click it and go to Airplane mode.
  
• 
  If there is a wired connection, disconnect the wire.
  

Step 2

Try to sign-in on another device (phone or PC) via the account.microsoft.com page.

If the sign-in is unsuccessful, then try to reset the password and check.

If sign-in is successful there, don’t try resetting/changing the password, try using the On-Screen Keyboard to sign in on the PC.

If that fails, make sure the PC is connected to the Internet (the connection icon should be visible in the lower right).
