Windows 10: Internet Connectivity Failure

For over a year my PC has experienced intermittent connectivity issues. I am using a WiFi adapter, the computer is in the basement while the router is on the second floor. I do not believe this is a WiFi signal issue because my device is the only one experiencing these issues, and there is a second PC five feet away from mine in the basement that has an excellent connection.


Now get ready to be thrown for a loop of inconsistency. When the issue occurs, the device disconnect sound will sometimes play, I will lose internet connection, and my mouse and keyboard will sometimes freeze up. Sometimes my PC will reconnect to the WiFi automatically most times I have to do it manually, sometimes it won’t pick up any nearby WiFi signals, and sometimes it fails to recognize any WiFi adapters in my system at all. Often times it will take three and four attempts at forgetting the network and reconnecting until I can establish a connection. This problem can happen multiple times per session, sometimes six and seven times in a minute, and sometimes I will go days without issue. Again, when the issue occurs, it may be just one, a combination of, or all of the listed “symptoms” above.


Here is a list of the things I have tried that have not solved the problem:


New PCI-e network card

New USB WiFi adapter currently using this one

BIOS update

Motherboard replacement

Clean installation of Windows

Updating Windows

Updating WiFi adapter drivers

Moving the computer closer to the router

Changing the DNS server address

Not allowing my PC to turn off any USB devices to save power

IP flushing

Contacting my ISP

Replacing the router and modem

And yes, turning it off and on again thanks Roy


I am at wit’s end and hoping there is someone out there who could help me figure this out. I will try to provide as much info as I can and I appreciate any suggestions.

  Select "Internet Explorer connection"

Set Broadband Internet Connection Network Configuration

and check if there's any changes. To run the
troubleshooter,
follow these steps:

  • 
    Network Adapter.
    
  • 
    Incoming Connections.
    

If the issue persists, we suggest that you try to
renew
your
IP address. To do this, follow these steps:

  Open
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.

    Ipconfig/release
    and hit
    Enter.

    Ipconfig/renew
    and hit
    Enter.

HTC 7 Mozart mobile not connecting to internet

If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi or use the Mobile Data on your HTC 7 Mozart device, we suggest that you follow the steps given on
Lumia troubleshooting and repair. After each step, check to see if your issue has been fixed.

• For issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks, select Connectivity > My phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks, then follow the suggested steps provided.

• And for issues connecting to the internet using a mobile data connection, select
  Connectivity > I cannot connect to the internet using a mobile data connection. Make sure to select the next options given if the problem persists.
