    Internet drop outs


    For about 3 weeks Internet has repeatedly dropped out. Pages won't load time out or load abnormally slowly Get messages like " the System encountered a problem" or " The site can't be reached" or "Your connection was interrupted" Checked Event Viewer found repeated ERROR notices. Said " System Augment OUT of Range Exception . No idea what this means No idea what to do. A tech checked computer last week said it was a telstra/NBN problem. Telstra denies I have a problem Or is it Windows????

    I suggest you connect your laptop to the router with a ethernet cable. If the wired connection is stable you know that there is nothing wrong with the internet connection itself and with your LAN. Next step would be to go to the website of your laptop manufacturer and look for the latest WLAN drivers. Install them and test whether it improves the reliability of your WLAN connection. Then post back the results.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Hi all,

    My internet drops out if the computer is not connected to power.

    Running the trouble shooter suggests that an ethernet cable is unplugged.

    But I am connected to wifi?
